Solar "System" Questions

How do I know if I'm selecting the correct solution for my home?

We've put quite a lot of effort into anticipating what people need and want, and we have covered most of the bases. We're here to help and guide you though so if there are questions, please just give us a shout.

What happens if the system doesn't do what I thought it would do?

We will take the time to explain exactly what to anticipate in terms of the system output. It can be a complicated idea to get your head around, but we are here for the 'stupid questions' - we would much rather over explain the system than have you disappointed after installation.

How do you manage compliance of the system?

Both system designers are AREP Level 2 Practitioners. They have been to accredited training and passed the necessary Tests with the Association of Renewable Energy Practitioners.  We only use inverters that are NRS 097 approved and only use Tier 1 panels.  And you will get a COC for the installation. We do require that there is a valid COC on your existing electrical installation.

Who will do the installation?

We currently only have one installer that we use - Eshas Electrical. Darryl is a trade tested electrician and is both the owner of the business and on site at every installation. We have a great relationship with him and his team and trust him fully.

Who do I contact if there is a problem, or if I have a question?

Us! We have a Whatsapp Line that you can message and send pics to. We will also have remote access to your system if your system is connected to the internet, so that we can check on and change settings if necessary.

What accreditation do you have?

Both system designers are AREP Level 2 Practitioners. They have been to accredited training and passed the necessary Tests with the Association of Renewable Energy Practitioners.  Lindsay is an Electrical Engineer (B. Eng. (Electrical) Hons (UP) ) and Sam is a Chartered Accountant (B.Acc. Hons. (SUN).

How long will my system last? What is the warranty?

At least ten years. The battery warranty is based on the number of cycles, but is usually based on a design life of 10 years of usage, with one cycle (discharge and charge) per day. The inverter has a ten year waanty and the panels have a design life of 25 years. It is likely that the battery is the first thing that will need to be replaced in the system.

Can you help me with my existing system, even if you haven't installed it?

We know its not the norm, but YES!  We are happy to assist with existing installations. There will be a call out fee and we will feedback on what we find and answer any questions that you have. We don't however get involved with the previous installer. This will be a separate consult and callout.
